About

The National Driver Training Centre is New Zealand’s premier driver training facility. It was established in 2017 and is owned by Manfeild Park Trust.

Our programmes give Kiwis a kick start, allowing drivers to learn to drive any class of vehicle in a real world environment, under safe conditions. We run driver licensing courses from learners to full, and partner with training providers to deliver Class 2 - 6 licences. Based in Manawatū, our training facilities are available for hire by industry or training providers.

We work with schools, community organisations, industry and government to get more Kiwis get on the road, safely. We also have strong relationships with NZTA and VTNZ - bringing the best in the industry together to train the next generation of drivers.

Thanks to $2.8M of funding received from the Provincial Growth Fund in 2018, we’re in the process of improving our facilities. This includes the construction of a purpose-built road layout, classrooms and off-road simulations.
